Madison County Escapee Taken Into Custody

At approximately 7:51 a.m., a Capitol Police officer located escaped inmate Brandon Young at a gas station in a black Nissan Titan.

Officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop; however, Young fled at a high rate of speed and subsequently collided with a fence. Officers were able to bring Young into custody at this time.

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office and the Mississippi Department of Corrections were notified and are en route to retrieve Young.
