Arrest Made in Sale of Tobacco to Minor in Newton, Mississippi

On November 5, 2025 at approximately 4:30 P.M., the Newton Police Department conducted an operation at the Newton Exhale Tobacco located on 209 Eastside Drive.

Rammah Ali has been charged with the sale of tobacco to a minor.

“Another individual was stopped from allowing our youth to purchase items that are detrimental to their body and mind. This arrest comes from an investigation started by a tip from members of our community. We will continue to keep Newton and our children safe”

Chief McKenzie Patrick emphasized the department’s ongoing efforts to protect youth in the community:
