Individual Fined for Moving Mobile Home Without License

SCOTT COUNTY, Miss. — Stephen Goodlow was cited by the Mississippi State Fire Marshal’s Office after allegedly moving a manufactured home in Scott County on Aug. 27 without the required license.

The home became stuck and blocked a public highway before being significantly damaged and later demolished. Goodlow is scheduled to appear in Scott County Justice Court in October. He was also cited by the Mississippi Highway Patrol for operating without a commercial driver’s license and insurance.

Officials remind residents that manufactured homes must be moved by properly licensed movers and meet all permitting, insurance and highway-safety requirements. Goodlow is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
