Neshoba County Sheriff’s Department Investigating Death Near Canal Scrap

The Neshoba County Sheriff’s Department is on the scene at Canal Scrap near Canal Place Cinema in Philadelphia following the discovery of a deceased person.

Sheriff Eric Clark confirmed that a female was recovered from a tent located near Canal Scrap, just north of the bypass. According to witnesses, the woman was last seen alive around midnight and was found deceased early this morning in the area where she had been sleeping.

At this time, no foul play is suspected. The Neshoba County Sheriff’s Department continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death.
