Rush Makes Initial Appearance in Mingo Homicide

Markeaislon Rush made his initial appearance before Justice Court Judge Steve Cumberland at approximately 9:00 a.m. today, August 28, 2026.

Rush is charged in connection with the August 24, 2026, shooting death of Paneshia Faye Mingo, who was found deceased on County Road 632 in Neshoba County.

Following the initial appearance, Judge Cumberland denied bond on the Murder charge.

The investigation remains ongoing, and additional charges may be filed as the investigation continues. No further information will be released at this time that could jeopardize the ongoing investigation or prosecution.

The Neshoba County Sheriff’s Office continues to work with assisting agencies in the investigation.
