Two Arrested in Assault at Super Inn and Suites
The Philadelphia Police Department has made two arrests in connection with an assault that occurred at the Super Inn and Suites on January 21, 2026.
Officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at the hotel at approximately 9:00 p.m. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim, who reported being struck multiple times in the head and face with a pistol. The suspect then allegedly stole the victim’s AR-style rifle following the assault.
According to investigators, a female who was inside the room with the victim had been involved in a verbal altercation shortly before a male suspect entered the room. Both individuals are alleged to have participated in the assault.
Emily Shoemake Coleman, 28, of Philadelphia, has been charged with aggravated assault.
Jaykwon Miller, 19, of Crystal Ridge, has been charged with aggravated assault and robbery.
Investigators also located Keyshawn Nickey and determined he was not involved in the incident.
Both Coleman and Miller were booked into the Leake County Jail. Bond has not been set at this time.
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
