Operation for the sell of controlled substances across Newton County.

On January 21, 2026 around 3 am the Newton County Sheriff's Office and the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics (MBN) conducted an operation for the sell of controlled substances across Newton County.

25 arrest warrants were issued totaling over 40 charges in all. I would like to thank Narcotics Investigators Tyler Robinson, Kevin Herrington, and Collin Kent for their dedication in this operation. I would also like to thank the Newton County Sheriff Department Patrol Officers, MBN and the Municipality Police Departments that helped in this operation. The illicit sale of illegal drugs will not be tolerated in Newton County, and we will to the best to our ability rid our county of this poison.
