Juvenile Injured After Gunfire Strikes Four Homes on 44th Avenue

Authorities are investigating a shooting in the 1500 block of 44th Avenue where multiple rounds were fired, striking four homes in the area.

According to preliminary information, a juvenile was struck by gunfire while walking in front of one of the residences. The victim was transported by personal vehicle to a local hospital. The gunshot wound is not believed to be life-threatening at this time.

Police report that two vehicles fled the scene heading southbound from the location. Descriptions of the vehicles and suspects have not yet been released.
