Overnight Crash on Poplar Springs Drive Causes Power Outage, Minor Injuries

Emergency crews responded to a late-night accident on Poplar Springs Drive after a single vehicle struck a utility pole just before midnight.

MPD officers were dispatched to the 4300 block of Poplar Springs Drive following reports of a crash involving one vehicle. The vehicle reportedly struck a light pole, damaging two poles in the area.

The Meridian Fire Department and Metro Ambulance also responded to the scene.

Downed power lines were left across the roadway, creating a temporary hazard for motorists. Crews worked to secure the area and repair the damage.

Minor injuries were reported as a result of the crash. No further details about the driver have been released at this time.

The roadway has since reopened, and power has been fully restored to affected residents.
