Breaking: Suspect Arrested in East Mississippi Cattle Theft Case
The Tupelo Police Department reportedly took a suspect into custody following a traffic stop connected to the recent cattle theft investigation.
According to preliminary reports, William Hernandez Bowden, 35, of Georgia, was arrested just minutes ago in connection with the case.
Authorities say 11 cattle were stolen Sunday morning from East Mississippi Farmers Livestock. The livestock are estimated to be valued between $25,000 and $30,000.
Mississippi Cattlemen's Association, Neshoba County Sheriff's Office, Philadelphia, MS Police Department and other agencies assisted in the investigation leading to the arrest. Officials have not yet released additional details regarding charges or recovery efforts.
