Arrest Made in landmark Apartment Shooting

Meridian police have made two arrests in connection with an early-week shooting at a Meridian apartment complex.

Eddie Wayne Holloway Jr. and Cedric Roshaun Bonner Jr. have each been charged in the May 27 shooting at Landmark Apartments. Holloway faces two counts of aggravated assault, and Bonner faces one count of aggravated assault.

Meridian police arrested Holloway on May 28; Bonner was arrested on May 29. No bond has been set for Holloway or Bonner.

Two individuals were shot in the incident – a juvenile and Bonner. Both were transported to local hospitals by private vehicles with non-life-threatening injuries, Acting Captain Dareall Thompson said.

“This was an isolated incident,” Thompson said. “An altercation between the two led to the shooting.”
