Swat Arrest Two in early Morning Sting

This morning at 6:45 a.m. the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department SWAT team executed two search warrants. The first search warrant was served at an apartment at the Village Apartments located at 2015 Mosby Road. The second search warrant was served at a residence in the 1400 block of 50th Avenue. Both search warrants are part of an ongoing drug investigation by the East Mississippi Drug Task Force. The following individuals have been charged –

Demetrius Shantrell Tell B/M DOB: 11/22/1980

Both individuals were charged with the following -

Felon in Possession of a Firearm - $50,000 bond

Possession of a Stolen Firearm - $50,000 bond

Trafficking of Cocaine while in possession of a Firearm within 1500 feet of a Church - $50,000 bond

Aggravating Trafficking of Methamphetamine while in possession of a Firearm within 1500 feet of a Church - $100,000 bond

Trafficking Ecstasy while in possession of a Firearm within 1500 feet of a Church - $50,000 bond

Possession of Oxycodone with Intent to Distribute while in possession of a Firearm within 1500 feet of a Church - $50,000 bond

Total bond of $350,000 for both persons

Illegal Drugs Seized

424 ecstasy pills

Over 11 ounces of Methamphetamine

Approximately 4 ounces of powder and crack cocaine

Over 3 pounds of marijuana

6 dosage units of oxycodone
