MPD Makes Arrest in Saturday Night

The Meridian Police Department has continued its investigation into the fatal stabbing that occurred Friday night on Church Avenue and has now concluded that criminal charges are warranted.

Following a thorough and expedited investigation, MPD has charged Lee O’Brien Sanders with Murder in connection with this incident. Sanders’ bond has been set at $1,000,000.

This case was solved swiftly, thanks to the dedication, professionalism, and teamwork of the Meridian Police Department’s investigators, patrol officers, command staff, and support personnel. Their coordinated efforts ensured the suspect was identified, taken into custody, and charged without delay.
