20th Annual Police Memorial & Appreciation Day.
On Tuesday in Jackson, the Meridian, Mississippi Police Department joined law enforcement agencies from across the state for the 20th Annual Police Memorial & Appreciation Day.
We are especially proud to recognize Officer Chameria Washington, who was honored as a 2026 Top Cop for her service, professionalism, and commitment to our community.
“Officer Washington represents the professionalism, integrity, and dedication we strive for every day at the Meridian, Mississippi Police Department,” said MPD Police Chief Malachi Sanders. “We are proud of her and thankful for the work she does serving the people of Meridian.”
