Suspect taken into Custody After Running Lauderdale County Court House

Jederion Lewis allegedly ran from the Lauderdale County Government Complex this morning . Lewis was out in bond and not in custody at the time the incident took place. He was awaiting his appearance before the Judge when he said he was going to the the bathroom . He was told to remain where he was, he then broke and ran. He is now in the custody of the LCSO with a bench Warrant.

MPD and LCSO searched the wooded area behind the courthouse. He was taken into custody near Fulton and St Luke Street without incident.

In December of 2023, 20-year-old Jederion Lewis was charged with four counts of accessory after the fact for assisting in a homicide case.
