Philadelphia Elementary Teacher Selected to Represent Team USA Women’s Futures

PHILADELPHIA, Miss. — Philadelphia Elementary School is proud to announce that teacher Shenique Brass has been selected to represent the 2026 USA Women’s Futures Team at Border Battle XVI, one of the premier events in slowpitch softball.

Brass earned a spot on the national roster through her dedication, talent, and commitment to the sport. She will join some of the nation’s top athletes as they compete while proudly wearing the Red, White, and Blue.

Her selection is not only a personal accomplishment but also an inspiration to the students she serves each day at Philadelphia Elementary. Through her hard work, perseverance, and determination, Brass demonstrates the value of setting goals and pursuing excellence both on and off the field.

The USA Women’s Futures Team will take the field during Border Battle XVI, showcasing some of the brightest emerging talent in slowpitch softball from across the country.

Philadelphia Elementary and the Philadelphia Public School District congratulate Shenique Brass on this remarkable accomplishment and wish her the very best as she represents Mississippi and Team USA on the national stage
